Terms of service

Last updated: 2026-05-25

These terms describe the rules for access to and use of Generations DataForge. DataForge is operated by Generations B.V. for Generations staff and selected invited users who need access for authorized Generations business purposes.

1. Accounts and authority

Your account is provided for internal business purposes. You must keep credentials confidential, use your own account, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access or misuse.

2. Use of the tool

You may use the tool only for lawful Generations business purposes and in accordance with internal policies, access instructions, and applicable law. Access may be changed or removed when your role, responsibilities, or authorization changes.

3. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the tool, interfere with operations, reverse engineer protected parts of the platform, bypass security controls, upload unlawful or harmful content, or attempt unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data.

4. Internal data and integrations

DataForge processes Generations' Rentman workspace data and related internal records only to provide, secure, maintain, support, and improve the tool. The tool may depend on Rentman APIs, Rentman configuration, network availability, and self-hosted infrastructure. Changes or outages in those systems may affect availability or data quality.

5. Standalone tools and API clients

Generations may provide standalone tools or invited-user clients that use DataForge APIs. These tools may access, display, submit, or update data through DataForge and Rentman only as authorized by Generations, subject to access controls, permissions, and tool configuration. Users must not share access, export data, create public links, or disclose information unless they are explicitly authorized to do so.

6. Intellectual property

The tool, software, design, documentation, and related materials are owned by Generations B.V. or its licensors. Internal access does not transfer intellectual property rights to users.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to provide a reliable internal tool, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may update, suspend, limit, or discontinue features when needed for maintenance, security, legal compliance, or internal product improvement.

8. Fees and subscriptions

DataForge is not currently offered as a paid customer-facing service. There are no customer subscriptions, public plans, or payment processing for this internal tool.

9. Confidentiality and security

Users must protect non-public information available through the tool and use it only for authorized Generations business purposes. We apply reasonable safeguards, but you remain responsible for protecting your credentials and using access appropriately.

10. Warranty disclaimer

The tool is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the extent permitted by law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption arising from or related to the tool.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, create security or legal risk, or use the tool in a way that may harm the platform, data, infrastructure, or other users. When access ends, your right to use the tool ends.

13. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice where practical. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, unless mandatory local law requires otherwise.
